Harry Nillson [R.I.P.] - Discography

Harry Nillson - Discography

Born: 15 June 1941 - Died: 15 January 1994

Harry Nilsson was a genius - no doubt about it.  Blessed with one of the finest voices you could wish to hear he was also a composer of songs in more styles than you could imagine and an interpreter extraordinaire.  No-one else I have heard can make me laugh or cry simply by the way he sings a few notes.  Because of this gift he could turn mediocre material into masterpieces - and great songs into timeless classics.

All Albums are 320kbps Bitrate

2013 - The Essential Nilsson

2019-The Harry Nilsson Anthology

As I expected Harry Nilsson. Music has been unfair to him. "Without You" is a wonderful song (it wasn't his, it was by Pete Ham of Badfinger, another great musician), but musically it did him more harm than good, covering huge records and songs.

Harry made superb album after superb album until his wayward lifestyle knackered his voice around the "Pussycats" sessions. Though he made a wonderful comeback to form with the superb "Knnillssonn" in 1977. Although he hadn't released an album for years it was still a huge loss when he died in 1994. Mostly remembered for "Without You", he made dozens of top drawer tracks throughout his life.. Still greatly missed.
