Chet Atkins - Discography

Chet Atkins - Discography

Chester Burton Atkins born 20 June 1924 - Died 30 June 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States (1942–1996) . was an American guitarist and record producer. Together with Owen Bradley, Atkins created the smoother country music style known as the Nashville sound, which expanded country music’s appeal to include adult pop music fans as well. His virtuoso picking style - inspired by Merle Travis, Django Reinhardt, George Barnes and Les Paul - brought him admirers both within and outside the country scene. Atkins produced records for Eddy Arnold, Don Gibson, Jim Reeves, Jerry Reed, Connie Smith, and Waylon Jennings.

Thank you Ozzieguy. I found several interesting albums here. I'm a big fan of instrumental music. My number one instrument of all time, is the Pedal Steel Guitar, but I also love the sound of a ordinay guitar. By the way .... you don't happen to have some pedal steel albums. I have quite a large collection, but there's always room for more! Thank You from LasseLloyd.

Hello LasseLloyd,
I too am a fan of guitar music and I do have some Pedal Steel Guitar music here somewhere in my archives. I just have to find the right HD to be able to share.

Hello Ozzie Guy.
Still loving your blog.
I always find something new there to enjoy.
Lately it's been Chet Atkins.
I noticed you have the 1978 Guitar Monsters LP with Les Paul posted but not the 1976 Chester & Lester LP that won a grammy award for country instrumental.
Any chance that you could add that to the already huge Chet Atkins collection?
Thanks for all you do, hope you are well.
